BMG celebrates at Nampo 2024
Nampo is going to be extra exciting for BMG this year. Not only is the company celebrating its 50th year in business, but the team has lots of action planned for its 2024 event at Nampo Park, Bothaville, from 14 to 17 May.
“BMG focuses on making life easier for farmers. Through BMG’s BoerSlim/Smart Farming programme, the team encourages farmers to embrace advancements in agricultural machinery. BMG offers sustainable solutions that focus on effective food production, the correct use of appropriate equipment and the efficient application of the latest trends and technologies,” explains Carlo Beukes, Business Development Manager, Agricultural division, BMG. “It’s important for farmers to have easy access to every tool and component they require, which is why BMG makes sure its branch and distributor network is well stocked.
“The company’s user-friendly online shopping platform is also highly popular with farmers, as a convenient way to procure engineering and agricultural products. Our online shopping portal adds value to BMG’s service offering and makes shopping for engineering components even easier – especially with rising fuel costs. This digital platform enhances convenience for farmers, who still have the assurance of technical support and personal care from BMG specialists.
“Nampo is the perfect forum to introduce new products and this year we will be showcasing premium Gates drivebelts, which have been specifically developed for the latest harvesters – mainly for John Deere, Case and New Holland machines. BMG is initially focusing on these three brands and will roll out to the rest of the market, to meet specific customer requests.
Also on display will be newly launched Caterpillar power tools with Graphene battery packs, as well as a range of Liqui Moly agricultural lubricants, including GunTech and RatBan.
“BMG added a new transmission flow grease to its Boerslim/Smartfarming portfolio at Nampo last year, that has been well received by the farming sector. Liqui Moly Transmission Flow Grease LP00 is particularly suitable for the lubrication of normally stressed pivot gearboxes, which operate at low to normal rotational speeds, under dusty and damp conditions.”
Specialists will showcase BMG’s latest products and technologies at BMG’s outside stand (C21) and there will be working demonstrations of technologically advanced products, that form part the company’s eco-friendly initiatives to boosting farming efficiencies and reduce CO² emissions.
BMG’s extensive range of agricultural products includes BTC Lemken harrow discs and hub bearing units that conform with OEM quality specifications. The company has also launched solar panel operated Variable Speed Drive (VSD) units which will also be on display. On show will be bearings and oil seals, power transmission components, light industry conveyors, tools and equipment, hydraulics and fluid technology, as well as all electronics equipment.
A highlight for visitors to Nampo each year is BMG’s distinctive range of exclusive BoerSlim clothing, which includes hunting jackets, ‘twaksak’ shorts and cargo pants. Last year, the Boerslim clothing was such a hit with customers, that some items were sold out by the second day of the show.
Live and interactive demonstrations of CAT power tools include a competition, with a CAT DX155 impact drill kit as the daily prize for the fastest attempt to drive five Tex screws into a wooden block. As an added bonus, CAT power tools – known for reliability and precision - will be accessible to visitors at exclusive rates.
What’s also likely to grab the attention of Nampo enthusiasts is an agricultural celebrity who will demonstrate on the BMG stand how to make knives from bare steel.
A visit to BMG’s stand would not be complete without a cup of the company’s freshly brewed coffee - a welcome comfort each Winter at Nampo in Bothaville.
