Industrial supplies distributor BMG highlighted commitment to empowering South African farmers with smart, locally relevant agricultural innovations at Nampo 2025 in Bothaville.

Through its SmartFarming and/or Boerslim initiative, BMG is bridging the gap between global technological advancements and practical, on-the-ground solutions tailored for the unique demands of the South African agricultural landscape.

BMG is rolling out a range of energy-efficient solutions, including IE4 and IE5 motors, advanced variable speed drives and enhanced bearing designs that aim to improve farm productivity, reduce energy consumption and lower operating costs.

In an interview with Engineering News, BMG business unit manager agriculture Carlo Beukes explains that for BMG, Nampo is not just an exhibition, it is a collaborative space to engage with farmers, collect feedback and build long-term partnerships.

The focus this year is on value-added technology, not just product displays, with BMG reinforcing its position as a trusted partner in South Africa’s evolving agri-sector.
