Manufacturer launches new inverters, enhances work processes

PI150 FREQUENCY INVERTERS The range of Synergy PI150 frequency inverters from BMG will enhance operations in an array of industrial settings
The company, which marked its fiftieth year in business last year, states that these high-performance inverters are also effective in operating blowers, fans, conveyors and mixers.
“Our newly launched Synergy PI150 frequency inverters – which are versatile, general-purpose drives – have been designed to enhance efficiency and reduce costs in industrial, manufacturing and numerous other market sectors,” explains BMG business unit manager David Dyce.
The range of Synergy PI150 inverters is equipped with a built-in electronic thermal relay for motor protection and offers compatibility with a variety of control methods. Features such as flying start, DC braking and torque control, ensure seamless operation under challenging conditions.
Dyce adds that some of the key technical capabilities of the range include high-performance vector control, voltage/frequency control without an encoder, automatic motor adaptation, over-voltage, under-voltage and over-current safeguards, proportional integral derivative feedback for precise closed-loop control, as well as quick current limiting and automatic voltage regulation.
The robust design of this range complies with stringent international standards, including those stipulated by the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC), namely IEC 61800-5-1 for safety and IEC61800-3 for electromagnetic compatibility, to ensure enhanced reliability and optimum performance in demanding applications.
Additionally, to accommodate contractors, designers and end-users, BMG specialists offer a customised support service and technical advice for the Synergy PI150 series. This includes after-sales service and 24-hour assistance.
“These new generation frequency inverters have a compact design, allowing for side-by-side installation, without spacing, which minimises cabinet size and lowers installation costs. Energy-efficient operation supports sustainability, while contributing to overall cost savings for the user,” he concludes.
