New diagnostic tool for rotating machinery
SKF has extended its Microlog Analyzer range of data collection devices to include its Microlog Analyzer dBX. The company says the new device represents a leap forward in data collection efficiency and diagnostic capabilities, empowering industries to achieve peak performance and reliability in rotating machinery.
The diagnostic solution is said to offer advanced rotating machine maintenance scheduling, providing in-depth information and insights into rotating asset health. Its capabilities including impact tests, digital recording, modal analysis, multi-plane balancing, and cross-channel phase analysis. The feature-rich device is particularly suited for use in diverse industries such as pulp and paper, food and beverage, renewable energy, mining, off-highway, metals, automation, and marine.
The SKF Microlog Analyzer dBX is designed to swiftly detect rotating machinery issues using the innovative Multi-Point Acquisition- (MPA-) in-a-flash method. Developed by SKF, this method enables rapid, accurate data collection, and is said to set new standards in vibration analysis. According to SKF connected technologies manager John Storm MPA is SKF's fastest vibration data collection method, typically three times faster than its previous Microlog series.
Additional technologies include an embedded camera and a high-resolution 10.1-inch screen with up to six simultaneous measurement windows. Its hybrid touch and keypad control, along with simplified navigation, are designed to ensure seamless operations. The Microlog Analyzer dBX also maintains backward compatibility with SKF's Microlog CMXA Series, helping to ensure a smooth transition for existing users.
