Project Description
The 140 MW wind farm will supply clean electricity to independent integrated platinum group metals producer Northam Platinum’s operations through a 20-year power purchase agreement, with the energy being wheeled through the national grid.

Potential Job Creation
The wind farm will create about 1 030 construction jobs and 17 permanent operational roles.

Capital Expenditure
R4.7-billion, which will be financed by financial institutions Nedbank, Absa and Standard Bank.

Planned Start/End Date
The notice proceed was expected to be issued in February 2025, with construction to take about 24 months to complete.
