Moretele North, in South Africa’s North West province, and to the Bela-Bela, Modimolle, Mookgophong and Mokopane municipalities, in South Africa’s Limpopo province.

Project Description
The planned bulk water scheme aims to develop a regional bulk supply and will comprise:
- bulk raw-water abstraction, including a raw water pumpstation and pipeline to the water treatment works (WTW) as applicable;
- WTW, including clear water storage;
- clear water pumpstations and rising mains;
- bulk regional reservoirs;
- bulk distribution gravity pipelines and rising mains;
- booster pumpstations as required;
- power supply arrangements; and
- telemetry control systems.
Potential Job Creation
About 1 980 jobs are expected to be created.
Capital Expenditure
R5.2-billion.
Planned Start/End Date
According to the Department of Water and Sanitation, the project is expected to be completed in 2028.
