Unlocking Africa’s Manufacturing Potential Through Regional Integration

Africa's manufacturing sector stands at the cusp of a transformative era, propelled by regional integration efforts that are reshaping the continent into a formidable global economic force. The upcoming Manufacturing Indaba will convene industry leaders, policymakers, and investors to explore how manufacturers can harness initiatives like the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) to expand operations, access burgeoning markets, and fortify supply chains.

With a population exceeding 1.4 billion people and a combined gross domestic product (GDP) valued at approximately US$3.4 trillion, Africa represents one of the world's most dynamic and rapidly growing markets.  The implementation of AfCFTA is dismantling trade barriers, harmonizing regulations, and fostering cross-border collaboration, thereby creating the largest free trade area globally in terms of participating countries.

The Manufacturing Indaba will feature a focused session to delve into the topic of, "Africa – The Opportunity for Manufacturers and the Value that Regional Integration Brings,".  This plenary panel discussion will unpack:

“Regional integration is not merely a policy initiative—it is a catalyst for industrial revolution in Africa,” asserts Liz Hart, Managing Director at Manufacturing Indaba. “By uniting our markets and resources, African nations can unlock unprecedented opportunities for industrialisation, job creation, and sustainable development.”

Attendees of the 2025 Manufacturing Indaba will gain actionable insights into navigating Africa's evolving industrial landscape and positioning their businesses for enduring success in this expansive market.

Join us on 15 – 16 July 2025 at the Sandton Convention Centre, Johannesburg, South Africa to be part of Africa’s industrial transformation.
