The board of ASX-listed independent diamond company Burgundy Diamond Mines has started the process to select a new CEO, as Kim Truter plans to retire as CEO and MD at the company's AGM on May 27.
“I would like to thank Kim for his years of service as an executive and board member. Kim has been instrumental in the transformation of our organisation which positions Burgundy well for the future. In particular, the acquisition and improvement of Ekati, our cornerstone mining asset has been pivotal,” says chairperson Michael O'Keeffe.
“I am appreciative of the opportunity to have been engaged with Burgundy as a board member and executive since 2020. It has been a privilege to be involved during such a defining and essential period, and I look forward to the many successes that lie ahead,” comments Truter.
Burgundy director Jeremy King will be appointed interim CEO upon Truter's retirement.
The company owns and operates the Ekati mine and Naujaat project, in Canada.
