Exploration company Trillium Gold, which owns mineral properties in the Red Lake mining district of northern Ontario, has appointed Dale Ginn as executive chairperson and Nav Dhaliwal as president and CEO.

Dhaliwal takes over from Russell Starr, who will continue to serve as a director of the company.

“We wish to thank Starr for his hard work and putting together what can only be described as a major’s exploration package and thank him for executing upon this vision. A corporate update will be forthcoming as we look to leverage both our precious metal exposure along with lithium and critical metals,” comments Dhaliwal.

The board has also recommended a name change to Renegade Gold and a consolidation of the company’s outstanding common shares on the basis of ten pre-consolidation common shares for one post-consolidation common share.

This remains subject to TSX-V approval and the firm notes that it will disclose more details in a later news release.

As part of its regional-scale consolidation strategy, Trillium has assembled one of the biggest prospective land packages in and around the Red Lake mining district in proximity to major mines and deposits, as well as along the Confederation Lake and Birch-Uchi greenstone belt.
