Three-phase hybrid inverter for South African conditions
A new three-phase hybrid inverter that promises efficiency, reliability and user-friendly operation is tailored to meet the specific needs of the South African consumer, says global photovoltaic inverter and energy storage system supplier Sungrow.
The SH15-25T with SBR offers enough power to cater to the increased electricity demands of large homes and is said to be able to start and run more heating, ventilation, and air conditioning units, pool pumps, and other appliances, during a grid outage.
The stand-alone supply capability is designed to ensure year-round reliability regardless of external network conditions.
Three maximum power point trackers, or MPPTs, for different orientations operate between 150 V and 950 V, which helps optimise roof space and extends working hours. All panel compatibility is designed to ensure maximum energy utilisation.
The solution is also said to offer reliable safety measures, with integrated arc fault circuit interrupter, or AFCI, and 200 ms shutdown on system errors with a maximum 200 m for system safety and including relevant certifications.
The iSolar cloud application can be used to optimise solar energy usage and increases consumption transparency, providing 10 second data refresh rates on power consumption.
The solution is designed for flexible combinations of battery and inverters and allows for system expansion at any time.
Sungrow says its three-phase inverters are engineered to thrive in South Africa's diverse weather conditions. In addition, the company offers a 10-year warranty on the battery and a stand-alone five-year warranty on the inverter, with the option of an additional five-year extended warranty.
