JSE-listed real estate investment trust Attacq has appointed Peter de Villiers as interim CFO, with effect from February 1.

This follows the November announcement that current CFO Raj Nana has resigned with effect from January 31.

The appointment of an interim CFO is to allow Attacq sufficient time to conclude a recruitment process and to ensure minimal disruption to the business while that process in under way.

The company expects to be in position to announce a permanent CFO by April 30.

De Villiers joined Attacq in March 2013 and has served as a member of its executive committee since Attacq's listing in October 2013. He is a qualified Chartered Accountants of South Africa and Chartered Financial Analyst Institute charter holder.
