Project Description
Aysha-1 will be the biggest wind farm in the Horn of Africa and entails the development and operation of a 300 MW wind energy project.

The project is expected to generate 1 400 GWh/y of clean energy, powering more than four-million households, and preventing the emission of more than 690 000 t/y of carbon.

Potential Job Creation
In addition, the project is expected to create more than 1 500 direct jobs.

Capital Expenditure
$620-million.

A power purchase agreement and implementation agreement was signed with Ethiopian Electric Power for the development and operation of the wind energy project in August.
