The well-established partnership between engineering consumables and components distributor Bearing Man Group (BMG) and power management solutions provider Eaton Hydraulics has been enhanced with the accreditation of BMG’s Johannesburg head office facility – BMG World – as the exclusive Eaton Hydraulics warranty centre in Africa.

“BMG – which represents Eaton Hydraulics in Africa through the distribution of Eaton Hydraulics power management solutions for electrical, hydraulic and mechanical power – is now authorised to provide technical assessments of Eaton Hydraulics warranties. This will boost support to Eaton Hydraulics and BMG customers,” says BMG Fluid Technology business unit manager David Dyce.

He mentions that the local market will benefit from a conveniently situated evaluation and repair facility for Eaton Hydraulics products, which offers a dependable service, in line with rigorous international Eaton standards. The warranty service is enhanced by the quick supply of Eaton Hydraulics components and spares for fluid power projects in all sectors.

“BMG analyst Nicky Muller has attended official training at the Eaton Hydraulics Eden Prairie facility, in the US. He heads the warranty centre’s local team, which has benefited from a recent skills upliftment programme,” he states.

Through this agreement, BMG’s national field services facility has extended its specialist skills to support Eaton Hydraulics and BMG customers.

The mobile field service team conducts breakdown and routine maintenance on-plant and carries out troubleshooting and advises on possible productivity improvements, for the highest level of plant output and reliability.

Eaton Hydraulics offers a standard warranty on all products. This covers against defects in materials and manufacture for 12 months from the date of dispatch. The extended warranty option offers customers a warranty period of up to five years from the date of dispatch, with all other conditions as given in the standard warranty.

The BMG team – with in- depth knowledge about the Eaton Hydraulics energy efficient product range, coupled with technical skills, an extensive distribution reach and the establishment of an official warranty centre – is well positioned to fully represent the Eaton Hydraulics brand in Africa.

Eaton Hydraulics offers energy efficient power management solutions to assist customers in managing electrical, hydraulic and mechanical power more reliably, safely and sustainably.

The company is dedicated to improving the quality of life and the environment, through the use of power management technologies and services.
