More than 40 km off the coast of Normandy, France.

Project Owner/s
Global integrated energy company TotalEnergies, in partnership with German multinational energy company RWE.

TotalEnergies will operate the project.

Project Description
Centre Manche 2 will be the largest renewable-energy project ever developed in France.

The 1.5 GW project will generate an estimated 6 TWh/y of electricity and supply green electricity to the equivalent of more than one-million French households.

Potential Job Creation
Up to 2 500 people will be employed during the three years of construction. TotalEnergies has committed to offering 500 000 hours of work to apprentices and individuals in professional reintegration.

Capital Expenditure
€4.5-billion.

Planned Start/End Date
TotalEnergies aims to reach a final investment decision by early 2029. Electricity production is expected to start in 2033.
