Morocco-focused critical mineral explorer and developer Critical Mineral Resources (CMR) reports that chairperson Christopher Lambert has left the company’s board of directors with immediate effect of December 20.

As the board considers his replacement, it reports the appointment of Noureddine Sabraoui – the company's GM – as COO with immediate effect.

Sabraoui has had an extensive career in the Moroccan mining industry. As a geologist in the region, he has held a number of senior roles for Moroccan and foreign owned companies including as GM for operating mines in the industrial minerals sector.

Sabraoui has also run his own geological and mining services business and he co-founded the Moroccan Association of Mining Companies.

CMR is building a diversified portfolio of high-quality metals exploration and development projects in Morocco, focusing on copper, nickel, manganese, cobalt, and potentially rare earths.

CMR identified Morocco as an ideal mining-friendly jurisdiction that meets its acquisition and operational criteria.

CMR CEO Charles Long says Sabraoui possesses unrivalled knowledge of Morocco's mining industry and its metals trading opportunities, as well as the high quality project deal-flow that exists in the country.
