Green energy company Enel has called on architects, designers and engineers globally to rethink wind turbine design by entering its WinDesign challenge and submit solutions that are technologically advanced, and blend with the environment, enhancing the architectural design and beauty of the local area.

The challenge is divided into two phases.

The first phase entails submitting creative and innovative concept solutions for wind turbines, managed through the Enel Open Innovability platform.

Each participant that progresses to Phase 2 of the challenge will win €5 000.

The second phase entails the development of the preliminary design and further technoeconomic studies and reports regarding the proposed innovative solutions for wind turbines, managed in accordance with the modalities that will be duly communicated by Enel.

The winner of Phase 2 will receive €250 000, while the runner-up will win €150 000 and the second runner up €50 000.
