Entrenching their commitment to helping shape the future of mining, Engen was excited to partake in another successful ‘Investing in Africa’ Mining Indaba.
Engen exhibited under the theme “What matters to YOU matters to US”, with an interactive stand that displayed a wide range of quality products and showcased relevant projects and mining solutions.
Many meetings and engagements were held, partnerships were forged, and insights shared as the mining industry prepares to move forward into the future.
“Our stand was a collaborative effort combining our lubricants, commercial, international business and corporate teams, aimed at showcasing a unified “Engen in Mining” value proposition,” commented Drikus Kotze, head of Engen’s Commercial business.
Engen also hosted a successful cocktail evening attended by 65 key customers and stakeholders aimed at reaffirming the company’s commitment to growth in the sector.
Guests took the opportunity to engage with Engen’s CEO and MD, Seelan Naidoo and other senior management.
Sharveen Maharaj, Engen’s head of Lubricants said the event was also an opportunity to showcase the strides the company has made in the sustainability arena “as well as various enterprise development and social upliftment initiatives.”
The event also placed Engen’s localisation initiatives under the spotlight, showcasing their investment in Enterprise Development through a partnership with Resegofetse Business Solutions, a local women owned SMME which has seen over 400% growth in business since partnering with Engen.
Engen’s presence at this year’s Mining Indaba was well received by the broader mining community and will go a long way in entrenching the company as a progressive energy and solutions partner enriching lives for a sustainable future.
