The Australian government announced the granting of a feasibility licence for Ørsted’s first offshore wind project in May 2024.

The project entails the development of two offshore wind sites. Licence Area 1 has a potential capacity of 2.8 GW and Licence Area 2 a potential capacity of 2 GW.
