Gás Natural Açu (GNA).

Project Description
The project entails the construction of the combined-cycle power plant UTE GNA II in the integrated liquefied natural gas- (LNG-)to-power project GNA II.

The 1.3 GW GNA I was commissioned in 2021.

GNA II will be the second turnkey combined-cycle power plant to be built in the thermoelectric hub and will add 1.7 GW to the project.

With a combined capacity of 3 GW, the two power plants will provide enough electricity for 14-million households.

The combined-cycle plants powered by LNG will be the most efficient thermal power plants in Latin America and includes a 28-million-cubic-metre-a-day operational LNG floating storage regasification unit.

Potential Job Creation
GNA I employed more than 12 000 people throughout the project’s construction.

€1-billion.
