Project Description
Axpo and Enego have signed a cooperation agreement to study the feasibility of a 100 MW green hydrogen plant.
Contributing to the creation of a so-called hydrogen valley, running between Catania and Siracusa, the new plant will help to meet demand for green hydrogen from industries in the surrounding area, and can also connect directly to the European hydrogen network as part of the European Hydrogen Backbone
initiative.
Depending on demand, the plant’s capacity can be expanded to 300 MW.
