LG Electronics South Africa has recently released their latest range of Side by Side refrigerators, including the award-winning InstaView Door-in-Door refrigerator.

The InstaView fridge, which features a one of a kind glass panel, is the flagship model in the range. The new InstaView Door-in-Door refrigerator improves on the previous model with a new, larger Seamless InstaView Glass panel which allows you to see 23% more*. The existing hygiene features are enhanced with a new UVNanoTM water filter which reduce up to 99.99% of bacteria from the water nozzle with UV light.

The latest generation of Side by Side fridges has a brand new design with flat front panels and sharp edges for a minimal, modern look. The ultra-modern and sleek design is an investment piece in any kitchen. The UVNano™ Water and Ice dispenser is integrated across the range.

Door-in-Door, another popular feature in LG’s range of refrigerators, continues on selected models in the new range. This is particularly useful for easy access to items that are most frequently reached for such as milk, cheese, drinks etc.

“LG is committed to bringing sophisticated, modern and sustainable appliances to market, and that’s exactly what we’ve done with this new range. The new models are not only aesthetically pleasing. Each feature has a specific function, whether convenience, sustainability or peace of mind.  These all contribute to what we think is the best refrigerator range that we have brought to market. And now consumers in South Africa can now experience and benefit from these incredible appliance.” said Carol Guedes, Sales Head of Home Appliances at LG Electronics South Africa.

The new range is packed full of features designed to help consumers live better lives.

Knock twice to see what’s inside

With two quick knocks, you can see inside your fridge without opening the door. A 23% larger*, more immersive tinted glass panel complement the InstaView Door-in-Door refrigerator’s Matte Black design. This means cold air stays inside your fridge, helping you save energy and keep food fresher for longer.

Harness the power of light

UVNano™ technology has been integrated into the Ice and Water Dispenser to harness the power of UV light. Thanks to this feature, you have access to a more hygienic water dispenser. The UVNano™ function automatically activates, removing up to 99.9% of bacteria on the refrigerator’s dispenser tap. The feature is also activated at the touch of a button.

Committed to freshness

Key to keeping food fresh is maintaining a consistently cool temperature inside your fridge. LINEARCooling™ minimises temperature fluctuations, while DoorCooling+™ distributes powerful cold airflow from a strategically positioned vent. LG’s FRESHBalancer™ maintains optimal humidity to keep fruits and vegetables fresher for longer.

LG’s ThinQ is also a prominent feature to create your ultimate smart home. ThinQ allows you to remotely take control of your refrigerator from the comfort of your smartphone. Change the setting on your fridge from anywhere, or use Smart Diagnosis to identify possible issues. This allows users to manage their LG ThinQ smart home in one place to get the most out of connected living.
