A consortium comprising Trafigura Group, Vecturis, Mota-Engil, Engenharia e Construção África will manage the Lobito Corridor for 30 years.

Project Description
The concessionaire will take over the operation, exploration and maintenance of the rail transport of goods between Lobito and Luau, as well as the maintenance of the entire existing infrastructure along the Lobito corridor. It is envisaged that 1 678 t of cargo will be transported by the fifth year of the concession, 2 982 t by the tenth year, and 4 979 t from the twentieth year onwards and thirtieth years of operation. The 30-year concession could be increased to 50 years, if the concessionaire chooses to build the Luacano (Moxico)–Jimbe (Zambia) rail branch.
