Local products and services for industrial sector
A wide range of services are available to the petrochemical, construction, mining and power generation industries, provided by companies under the umbrella of the Hydra Arc Group. The group provides project management, procurement, construction, fabrication, maintenance and related services.
Its services include the following:
- Supply of specialised labour and training: the group’s Jomele Training and Placements division recruits and trains artisans for employment within various trade sectors.
- Pressure vessel and piping fabrication: Hydra Arc’s Skyhill complex undertakes small, medium and large fabrication projects, with a focus on fabrication and refurbishment of vessels, piping and equipment.
- Project management: services include overall plant maintenance, shutdown management, execution of specific vessel repair, piping replacement, mechanical overhauls and routine plant and equipment servicing.
- Refinery maintenance in the petrochemical sector.
- Mining refurbishments: as a heavy engineering company, Hydra Arc refurbishes and customises very large earthmoving equipment for international clients.
- Tooling and equipment supply: Weldmech is the Group’s own tooling and equipment supply group that has a fleet of heavy transport, yellow metal and mobile lifting vehicles, as well as a range of mechanical equipment, tools and consumables.
- Maintenance and refurbishment of specialised and standard equipment, including pressure vessels, heat exchangers, piping and storage tanks.
- Specialised welding capabilities including welding repair and welding overlay.
Hydra Arc asserts that all its projects are subject to stringent quality controls. Its sizeable facilities can be reconfigured to accommodate bespoke, custom requirements as well as standard, repetitive product-line projects.
