Merck Life Science South Africa, a leading science and technology company, is excited to announce its participation as a bronze sponsor at Analytica Lab Africa 2025. This major trade fair for laboratory technology, analysis, and biotechnology will take place in Johannesburg from July 8 to 10, 2025, co-located with IFAT Africa, the trade show for the water, waste, and recycling sectors.

At a spacious 225m² stand, Merck Life Science will showcase a broad range of innovative solutions across five key business units, providing visitors with hands-on access to the latest advancements in Chemistry, Biology, Diagnostics and Regulated Materials, Lab Water, and Biomonitoring.

Paulo Pinto, Head of South Africa Plus Region and Managing Director at Merck Life Science, stated, “With over 355 years of history and a presence in South Africa and Africa for over a century, Merck is committed to continuous innovation and investment in our customers. Our innovations go beyond products to include digital transformation initiatives that enhance operational efficiency for our clients.”

Merck’s transition to e-commerce, featuring over 350,000 products available online, exemplifies this commitment. Pinto added, “Our fully digitized platform and B2B solutions allow customers to integrate their systems for seamless ordering and product searching. We are eager to introduce our latest digital innovations at Analytica Lab Africa.”

Visitors will have the opportunity to explore a range of recently launched products, including new water systems, time-saving laboratory equipment, microbiology solutions, and cell culture add-ons. Additionally, Merck will showcase its latest wastewater testing, drinking water testing, and food and beverage analysis systems.

“Sustainability is a global priority, and Merck Life Science is dedicated to developing sustainable products and providing online tools for customers to evaluate their sustainability journeys,” emphasized Pinto.

The Merck Life Science stand will also feature engaging talks, demonstrations, and the popular Fun Zone, where visitors can win prizes.

Lennet Maduray, Field Marketing Manager for the Middle East and Africa, remarked, “As a global brand, our partnership with Messe München at international Analytica trade events allows us to connect with customers and showcase our innovative solutions. Analytica Lab Africa provides a unique opportunity for our customers to engage with our sales team, technical experts, and customer excellence team, fostering collaboration and a deeper understanding of market trends.”
