US-headquartered AI company Seekr Technologies and next-generation connectivity and solutions group MTN Digital Infrastructure, commercially known as Bayobab, have partnered to unlock AI-driven insights for enterprise enablement and public sector transformation.

With AI potentially adding $1.5-trillion to Africa’s economy by 2030, the newly inked memorandum of understanding (MoU) aims to translate this potential into tangible value for businesses, governments and communities by accelerating the integration of AI capabilities into Africa’s digital infrastructure.

The SeekrFlow AI-as-a-Service platform will enable MTN Digital Infrastructure to quickly and cost-effectively deploy and scale AI models that will augment and enhance existing and future digital and connectivity services.

The partnership focuses on opportunities to enable digital governance, citizen engagement and public safety in the public sector, as well as unlock AI-driven insights for financial services, logistics and energy in the enterprise space, leveraging MTN Digital Infrastructure Data Centres Investment Programmes.

“Our partnership with Seekr represents an important step in exploring the transformative potential of AI to accelerate Africa’s digital evolution,” said MTN Digital Infrastructure CEO Mazen Mroué.

“We see tremendous opportunity in embedding intelligent technologies across our digital infrastructure and services, enabling enterprise innovation and meaningful digital progress. This collaboration unlocks new possibilities for scalable impact across both public and private sectors across the continent.”

“We are excited about this collaboration with MTN Digital Infrastructure, in which our teams will deep-dive into providing AI-enabled capabilities to private and public sector entities across Africa,” added Seekr president Rob Clark.

“Accurate, trustworthy AI outputs are essential to millions of decisions that African businesses and organisations make every day. Both organisation’s commitment to customer-centric innovation makes this a natural partnership to unlock technology with the potential to deliver meaningful value to business and communities.”
