NETSCOUT, a leading provider of enterprise performance management, carrier service assurance, cybersecurity and DDoS protection solutions, has earned top honours in the 2025 Enterprise Management Associates (EMA) PRISM report on distributed denial-of-service (DDoS) mitigation solutions. Its Arbor Cloud DDoS protection services received a Platinum rating—the highest category awarded in the report.

EMA is an industry-leading analyst firm specialising in a wide range of technology areas, including cybersecurity. It provides comprehensive research, analysis, and insights to help organisations make informed decisions about their technology investments.

The report contains three main evaluation categories. The first, Product and Functionality, includes Real-Time Attack Mitigation, Anomaly Detection and Monitoring, Performance Impact, and Scalability. The second, Integrations and Operability, encompasses Analytics & Reporting, Integrations and Compatibility, Ease of Use & Management, and End-User Support. The third, Strength and Maturity, covers Vendor Strength, Time to Value, Total Cost of Ownership, and Strategy and Vision.

NETSCOUT’s Arbor Cloud DDoS protection services scored in the highest category overall, with a rating of Platinum, while other vendors ranked Gold, Silver, and Bronze.

The report cited the following key capabilities of Arbor Cloud:

·       Real-time attack mitigation: Arbor Cloud provides immediate response capabilities to identify and neutralise DDoS attacks as they occur. By employing advanced algorithms and extensive monitoring, the service ensures continuity of operations and minimal downtime.

·       Anomaly detection and monitoring: The service continuously analyses traffic patterns to identify deviations or unusual activities that may signify an attack. This capability enables proactive detection, allowing clients to respond swiftly.

·       Scalability: As organisations grow, so do their DDoS protection needs. Arbor Cloud offers seamless scalability to accommodate increased traffic loads and evolving threats, ensuring that businesses are protected no matter their size or threat level.

The PRISM report also noted key differentiators for Arbor Cloud that set it apart, such its comprehensive global coverage, which enables effective defence against DDoS threats originating from diverse geographic regions. In addition, the fact that Arbor Cloud is part of a broader integrated NETSCOUT ecosystem, combining both on-premises and cloud-based resources to support a holistic and flexible security strategy, was highlighted. Lastly, NETSCOUT’s deep industry experience in network performance management and DDoS protection was recognised as a strength, instilling confidence in the robust design and reliable execution of its Arbor Cloud offering.
