Painting the market green and gold: Schneider Electric launches exciting Power Up Mzansi campaign that offers the ultimate rugby experience
This article has been supplied.
Schneider Electric South Africa has launched its latest Power Up Mzansi Channel Sellout Campaign, designed to empower electricians and contractors by giving them the ability to achieve more with the company’s products.
This year’s campaign, which runs from 1 July to 31 August, taps into South Africa’s huge cultural connection with rugby, with the entire country rallying behind the game and fans scrambling for tickets to watch matches during the Rugby Championship.
Ryan Morais, Channel Marketing Lead: Distribution at Schneider Electric South Africa, says the campaign extends across the company’s entire distribution network and encourages participants to “buy and win the ultimate rugby experience”, with plenty of exciting rugby-related prizes to be won.
Win an exclusive rugby experience
“Customers who spend R1 500 or more on Schneider Electric products will receive instant giveaways and an entry into the grand prize draw for an exclusive rugby experience. For the grand prize, customers can win tickets for themselves and three friends to watch South Africa vs Argentina live in Durban, on 27 September at the Rugby Championship,” says Morais.
The grand prize draw will see three winners nationwide (each receiving four tickets).
During the course of the campaign, customers will qualify for tiered rewards in the form of instant giveaways, depending on the amount spent on Schneider Electric products:
- Spend R1 500 to R3 000 to win a bucket hat or water bottle,
- Spend R3 001 to R5 000 to win a mini rugby ball or bucket hat,
- Spend R5 001 to R10 000 to win a cooler box or a mini rugby ball,
- Spend more than R10 000 to win a mini rugby ball and a cooler bag, as well as other premium items.
Morais explains that the primary goal of this campaign is to generate demand for Schneider Electric products by creating a strong pull effect through its partners and hubs. This ensures not only that partners sell more, but also stock up adequately to meet the anticipated surge in demand.
Reinforcing Schneider Electric’s visibility
“Beyond sales, this initiative is also a brand-building initiative. It is about reinforcing Schneider Electric’s visibility in the market and highlighting the investment behind the brand. We aim to strengthen brand loyalty, maintain top-of-mind awareness and showcase Schneider Electric as a key player in the industry,” he says.
“The Rugby Championship is the perfect platform for this campaign due to its massive viewership and cultural significance. During this period, rugby dominates conversations, media and social engagements. With millions of eyes on the game, it presents a high-impact opportunity for us to integrate into a widely followed event, leveraging the excitement to boost engagement, brand recognition and sales.”
