A new chapter has emerged for TSX-V-listed Integra Resources as a precious metals producer in the Great basin of Western US, with the acquisition of the Florida Canyon mine, in Nevada.

On Friday, Integra announced the completion of its acquisition of the mine through its business combination transaction with TSX-V-listed Florida Canyon Gold Inc (FCGI).

President and CEO Jason Kosec said the mine would play a key role in realising Integra’s vision of becoming a leading midtier precious metals producer.

“Today marks the beginning of a new chapter for Integra as a Great Basin focused precious metals producer with a built-in growth pipeline, peer leading resource base, bolstered balance sheet, and strong support from our key strategic shareholders, including Wheaton Precious Metals, Beedie Capital, and Alamos Gold,” he said in a statement.

The Integra board will continue to be led by George Salamis as executive chairperson and now also includes Janet Yang and Ian Atkinson, former directors of FCGI, as new members.

Besides Florida Canyon, Integra also owns development-stage heap leach projects, including the past-producing DeLamar project, in south-western Idaho and the Nevada North project, in western Nevada.
