Avangrid, a subsidiary of Iberdrola.

Project Description
Iberdrola was awarded a contract to build a 791 MW wind farm in September 2024 that will provide clean, emission-free energy to 400 000 homes.

The project will include a new world-class marshalling port in Salem, Massachusetts, and a new offshore wind manufacturing facility in New Bedford, Massachusetts.

Potential Job Creation
The project will create more than 4 400 full-time equivalent jobs.

Capital Expenditure
The wind farm is expected to bring $3-billion of local investment to the region.

Planned Start/End Date
If a power purchase agreement is signed and approved, the project could start construction in 2025, reaching full commercial operation in 2029.
