Project Description
Fortescue aims to make the green hydrogen industry a reality in Brazil.
The proposed hydrogen plant will be implemented in two phases. Phases 1 and 2 will have a total capacity of 1 200 MW, and Phase 3 a capacity of 900 MW.
The proposed plant will have a final production capacity of 837 t/d of green hydrogen, based on the consumption of 2.1 GW of renewable electricity.
The hydrogen generated will be transformed into ammonia to facilitate its being transported in large cargoes. The production of green hydrogen is equivalent to 4 725 t/d of green ammonia.
