Playing its part in saving lives: DEHN Africa holds second blood drive in July

After the great success of the very first DEHN Africa blood drive earlier this year, the company held a second event on 8 July.

The first DEHN Africa blood drive took place on 16 April at the DEHN Africa offices in Midrand, and came about as a suggestion from a DEHN employee who is a regular donor. The blood donors included DEHN Africa staff members, as well as neighbouring businesses within the same office park.

Office manager Bianca van Vuuren says, “DEHN Africa ran with this initiative as we felt that it was a way to do something positive for the community, while involving the rest of our neighbours too. With it being much easier and more convenient for people to donate blood during working hours, we were able to meet so many new people, and those who didn’t know us were introduced to who we are and what DEHN does.”

The next blood donation drive once again took place in the DEHN Africa training room and was another great success. The next one is planned for some time in spring and anyone is welcome to come through and support it.
