Pneumatic product range popular in SA
PNEUMATICS PIPING APPLICATIONS Dowson & Dobson offers a range of Waircom push-in fittings in a variety of sizes and configurations to meet all pneumatic piping needs
Industrial products supplier Dowson & Dobson says its range of Waircom pneuma- tic products is widely used in sev-eral local industries, including the automotive, carpeting, wood, pulp and paper, packaging, plastic, hygiene, petroleum, food and beverage, and the medical equipment manufacturing industries.
Dowson & Dobson director TerryO’Kelly tells Engineering News that the company supplies a range of pneumatic component manufacturer Waircom’s valves, cylinders and push-in fittings in a variety of sizes and configurations to meet all pneumatic needs.
He adds that Dowson & Dobson also stocks components to assemble a standard range of cylinders, including the ISO 21287:2004- compliant
Waircom range of compact cylinders of 32 mm bore to 100 mm bore, and large bore tie rod cylinders that range in bore sizes from 125 mm to 320 mm.
Moreover, he points out that the company stocks a range of pilot and solenoid directional control valves, which includes the EK and the MEK series of body ported valves.
“The EK series of valves is available in various sizes, configurations and voltages. It is robust and trusted in the industry. The MEK series of valves is compact, lightweight and includes fast-acting solenoids,” states O’Kelly.
Dowson & Dobson also offers three series of Waircom man- ual and mechanical directional control valves.
“These valves include the M-series miniature valves, which have panel mounting options; the EK series spool valve, including hand-lever valves; and the CA series poppet-type valves,” says O’Kelly, who adds that the company also stocks the PC series range of foot pedal valves, which comes with a safety cover.
Further, O’Kelly enthuses that the Waircom brand is known for its reliability and is associated with high-flow capacity, compactness and durability.
Waircom offers a range of pneumatic components, such as silencers and flow-control systems, aimed at industrial automation.
“We believe that significant potential exists for further growth in the use of Waircom products in the local market moving forward,” he asserts.
