Pressure switch withstands higher process temperatures
A pressure switch with a large adjustable switch differential is now able to withstand higher process temperatures than previous models.
WIKA’s PSM-700 pressure switch is designed for control and monitoring applications and has been upgraded to offer high adjustability of the switch differential. The process media was previously limited to a temperature range of -30 °C to 60 °C. As a standard, the PSM-700 is now able to cater for process temperatures of between -30 °C and 115 °C. There is also an option for a switch with adjustable differential and fixed DPDT that can be used with process temperatures of between -30 °C and 150 °C.
The PSM-700 features a switch differential adjustable within a wide range of up to 60% of the setting range to ensure flexible on/off controls. It also offers reliable switching, with a switch point repeatability of up to or less than 0.5%.
The measuring element is a fully welded bellow made of stainless steel 316L. The pressure switch is said to be corrosion-resistant and suitable for a wide range of media used in the process industry.
The case is constructed using high-grade aluminium, designed to ensure that the pressure switch is able to withstand harsh operating conditions within the process industry.
The pressure switch is suitable for a range of applications, including:
- Pumps for process applications, such as water treatment, water supply and distribution
- Industrial hydraulics, including pressure control, oil pressure monitoring and overpressure protection in process lines
- Discharge control for automatic sprinkler systems
- Compressor controls in pneumatic applications
WIKA’s PSM-700 is equipped with UL-listed micro switches, aimed at ensuring durability in heavy-duty operations and a long service life.
