Engen reaffirmed its deep commitment to South Africa’s agricultural sector by again partnering with Grain SA and Bredasdorp Park NPC at NAMPO Cape 2025.

Held from 10–13 September in Bredasdorp in the Western Cape, this year’s expo celebrated its 6th anniversary under the theme: “Smart Technology for Efficient Resource Management.”

The focus highlighted the importance of innovation in helping farmers optimise resources, boost productivity, and ensure sustainability in a changing climate.

Engen powering smart agriculture

With more than a century of experience in fuelling and lubricating agricultural equipment, Engen continues to be a trusted partner to South Africa’s farmers.

At NAMPO Cape 2025, Engen’s interactive stand once again became a hub of activity, showcasing how Engen’s world-class solutions and services align with the evolving needs of modern agriculture.

Returning favourites included:

  • The Engen-branded 4x4 track, giving visitors the chance to experience equipment performance under tough conditions.
  • Tech-driven gamification allowing visitors to stand a chance to win prizes.
  • Brazmata premium coffee, a popular draw for guests and farmers alike.

Innovation takes flight

A key new highlight for 2025 was the launch of the Engen Drone Challenge, inviting visitors to test their drone flying skills in a dynamic, tech-driven game.

The activation drew strong interest from farmers and enthusiasts alike, reflecting the growing role of drone technology in precision farming and resource management.

Drones are increasingly being used to monitor crops, improve yields, and gain a bird’s-eye view of farmland, with the activation giving visitors a glimpse into how precision and efficiency are shaping modern agriculture.

Featuring multiple levels, the drone challenge allowed participants to navigate drones through various heights, mirroring real-world use in farming.

Products designed for Africa’s conditions

Visitors also had the opportunity to engage with Engen experts and explore a wide range of agricultural products, including:

  • Engen Dynamic Diesel
  • Agrifluid Transmission
  • Agritrac Super Universal
  • Agrivac Dairy
  • Engen Dieselube
  • FoodPure

Engineered to perform in Africa’s challenging conditions, these solutions maximise efficiency and equipment longevity.

Engen’s reputation for product excellence has been endorsed by major co-ops, naming it Lubricants Supplier of the Year for six consecutive years.

Smart, sustainable solutions

In line with this year’s theme, Engen spotlighted its sustainability-driven innovations:

  • Reformulated Dieselube 700 Super
  • Engen AdBlue
  • Solar and battery backup solutions for fuel dispensing

These solutions empower farmers to reduce operational costs, improve efficiency, and embrace more sustainable farming practices.

Looking ahead
The future of agriculture lies in smart technology and efficient resource use.
