Project Description
This project entails the raising of the existing Tzaneen dam wall by 3 m to address water shortages in Tzaneen and surrounding areas in Limpopo.
The scope of the work includes the demolition of the top of the existing spillway, the construction of a labyrinth spillway and other minor works.
Once completed, the storage capacity will be increased from 157.3-million cubic metres to 193-million cubic metres.
