In an effort to contribute towards the fight against COVID-19 and get "back to business", Jachris combined over 44 years' experience in the world of Hose & Fittings with over 10 years' experience in the world of Misting Systems to conceptualise, create and commercialise SpraySAFE, an automated mist sanitising safety tunnel.

Used in conjunction with other sanitising and good hygiene strategies, SpraySAFE offers a frontline defence against COVID-19 by ensuring that staff, customers, commuters, shoppers, travellers etc. are properly sanitised at mass entry and exit points to office buildings, factories, mines, malls, train/bus stations, taxi ranks, airports and banks... to mention but a few.

The system is manufactured in South Africa at a rate of 50 units per day, flat-packed for ease of transport/assembly and can be used with any liquid sanitising agent of your choice, provided it is safe to do so. The tunnel is equipped with an infrared sensor and activates when an individual approaches but can also be set to manual dosing and run on preset timing intervals. Set in a v-shape trajectory above the shoulders, the sanitising mist coats the individual's arms and hands drying soon after exit.
