Submersible dewatering pumps in high demand
Dewatering and dredging solutions specialist Integrated Pump Rental (IPR) has noted a rising demand for submersible dewatering pumps in mining, construction and water management applications. The company asserts that the trend is being driven by the continued expansion of mining activities, infrastructure upgrades and the need for reliable water management solutions in both surface and underground operations.
Part of Atlas Copco's Specialty Rental Division, IPR supplies a range of electric submersible pumps including the Atlas Copco WEDA dewatering, sludge and heavy-duty slurry pump ranges. These units are engineered to handle the demanding conditions found in applications such as sump dewatering, openpit dewatering, slurry movement and general water transfer duties. IPR says its technical teams work closely with customers to match the right pump to each application – whether it involves clean or dirty water, high solids content or abrasive slurry.
Noted for their portability, efficient performance and durability in harsh conditions, Atlas Copco WEDA submersible pumps are particularly suited for drainage and sludge pumping tasks in mining and construction environments. The range includes options for light to heavy sludge and slurry, with various motor and impeller configurations available to meet site-specific needs.
The WEDA L range of heavy-duty slurry pumps is designed to pump highly abrasive slurries with high solids concentrations. Fitted with agitators and specially designed impellers, these pumps are built to perform in particularly challenging environments, such as in settling ponds, slurry dams, and dredging operations.
IPR offers both rental and outright purchase options across its fleet of submersible pumps, with short-, medium- or long-term rental contracts available and supported by the company’s maintenance and service.
