Tanga LPG Terminal project.

Location
On a 26 ha site in Chongoleani, Tanga Bay, in Tanzania.

Project Owner/s
Liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) value chain company Petredec and Tanzanian leader in fuel and LPG transport ASAS Group of Companies.

Project Description
The project will serve as a major hub for the region, improving affordability and reliability of LPG supply while reducing reliance on the Port of Dar es Salaam.

The terminal will feature state-of-the-art infrastructure, including six mounded LPG storage spheres capable of storing 40 000 m3 in its first phase, eight truck loading gantries and a 2.8 km underwater pipeline. 

The terminal will be able to handle very large gas carriers, or VLGCs.
