JSE-listed Telkom on Monday posted expectations of double-digit earnings increases for the year ended March 31, 2025.

In an updated trading statement, taking into account the disposal of Telkom's 100% equity shareholding in Swiftnet, which was effective January 31, the company tabled a 125% to 135% increase in adjusted basic earnings per share (EPS) to 297.8c for its continuing operations.

On a reported basis, this equates to an increase of between 85% and 95%.

Headline earnings per share (HEPS) for continuing operations increased to 288.1c, an increase of 95% to 105% on an adjusted basis and an increase of 55% to 65% on a reported basis.

BEPS for Telkom’s total operations is expected to increase between 290% and 300% to 385.5c, while HEPS for total operations is expected to increase between 40% and 50% to 376c for the year under review.

Telkom expects to publish its financial results for the year ended March 31 on June 10.
