Trigg appoints US defence adviser
ASX-listed Trigg Minerals has appointed former senior US Department of Defense official Ben Harris as its US defence and armaments adviser, as the company positions its Antimony Canyon project in Utah to supply critical minerals into US defence supply chains.
Harris, who most recently served as Chief of Staff for the Joint Program Executive Office Armaments and Ammunition (JPEO A&A), will advise Trigg on aligning its operations with US defence procurement frameworks. The JPEO A&A oversees a $3-billion-a-year programme spanning procurement, research and development, testing, and training.
Harris previously held the role of deputy for project director joint services, where he managed ammunition infrastructure and demilitarisation programmes across the US.
“Ben’s appointment is a major step forward for Trigg as we advance our strategic focus on becoming a key domestic supplier of antimony for US defence and critical infrastructure,” said Trigg Minerals MD Andre Booyzen.
“His deep expertise in defence procurement, ammunition lifecycle management and federal coordination will be invaluable, and it aligns perfectly with our vision of delivering secure, conflict-free antimony to the US market.”
