South Africa’s industrial and clean energy sectors celebrated a landmark moment today with the official launch of RE+ South Africa 2026 and the Cape Industrial Technology Exhibition (CITE) 2027. The event was held alongside Securex, A-OSH EXPO, Facilities Management Expo, and Firexpo Cape Town 2025 at the CTICC. The exclusive breakfast launch offered industry leaders an early look at the two landmark exhibitions set to shape the country’s industrial and energy future.

RE+ South Africa will run alongside Securex South Africa and its co-located events from 2-4 June 2026 at Gallagher Convention Centre, bringing renewable energy into the mix alongside security, occupational safety and health, fire safety, and the facilities management sectors. Similarly, CITE will be co-located with the Cape Town edition of Securex and its co-located events, from the 2-4 March 2027 at the CTICC, providing targeted engagement for Western Cape industries and strengthening Cape Town’s role as a hub for innovation and industrial growth.

CITE — Building on proven success

Montgomery Group Africa, with more than 50 years of experience producing industry-leading exhibitions, is leveraging the success of KwaZulu-Natal Industrial Technology Exhibition (KITE), which has been running for over 40 years, as well as its other industrial events across mining, manufacturing and other industrial sectors

“KITE has consistently delivered exceptional value for exhibitors and visitors alike, connecting industrial leaders with high-quality solutions in a focused environment,” said Charlene Hefer, Portfolio Director at Montgomery Group Africa. “Following this success, it was a strategic decision to create a Cape Town event that meets the unique needs of the Western Cape market, providing similar high-level engagement and business opportunities for high growth, industrial sectors in the Western Cape.”

CITE 2027 brings together a full spectrum of industrial technology solutions, including automation, robotics, smart manufacturing, processing equipment, materials handling, and supply chain innovations. Attendees can expect live demonstrations, expert seminars, and networking opportunities that directly support business growth and operational efficiency.

Introducing RE+ South Africa

As South Africa’s first RE+ event, the platform unites energy decision-makers, technology innovators, and facility managers across the continent. The exhibition will showcase renewable energy generation, storage solutions, smart energy systems, and operational efficiency technologies, with a specific focus on the C&I (Corporate and Industrial) sector in Africa. The event will be a partnership between Montgomery Group Africa and RE+ Events — the organisers of North America’s largest renewable energy exhibition.

“Montgomery Group Africa is privileged to be the local organiser of RE+ South Africa,” said Mark Anderson, Portfolio Director at Montgomery Group Africa. “With our extensive experience in delivering large-scale industrial exhibitions and strong databases across the mining and manufacturing sectors, we are confident in providing a world-class platform for the corporate and industrial market. Renewable energy is critical for South Africa’s future — addressing the challenges of non-renewable energy supply, reducing environmental impact, and supporting sustainable business practices. RE+ South Africa provides a tangible, solution-focused showcase for organisations to explore sustainable and cost-effective energy strategies.

“This partnership brings together RE+ Events global reach and experience with Montgomery Group Africa’s strong local expertise and industrial knowledge, making it the perfect match to successfully launch this event. Exhibitors at this event will also benefit from our existing visitor base of over 10,000 people, across security, occupational health and safety and the facilities management sectors,” he added.
