Upcoming Transport Education and Training Authority forwarding and clearing inaugural skills summit set to boost South Africa’s logistics industry

The logistics and supply chain sectors in South Africa are poised for a significant boost as industry leaders, government officials, and international stakeholders prepare to gather at the much-anticipated TETA Inaugural Forwarding and Clearance Skills Summit. The summit is scheduled for 4 and 5 June, 2025. The event will take place at the prestigious Emperor’s Palace Convention Center. 

The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of TETA, Mrs Maphefo Anno-Frempong, will be joined by other leaders within the Industry to co-create solutions to the skills challenges facing the Sector in South Africa. The Summit will be graced by the Minister of Higher Education, Dr Nobuhle Pamela Nkabane and the Minister of Transport, Ms Barbara Creecy, as well as the Secretary General of the African Continental Free Trade Area, Mr Wamkele Keabetswe Mene as Keynote Speakers for the two days event.

Attendees can look forward to the following engaging sessions, amongst others: 

 Future skills in the forward and clearing industry with focus on express parcel, shipping operators and agents. 

 Driving Inclusive Growth in Forwarding & Clearing: Unlocking Policy Support and Diversified Revenue Pathways for Women, Youth, SMMEs & Persons with Disabilities. 

 Funding Skills Development in the Forwarding and Clearing Industry to Power Intra-Africa Trade 

 Empowering the Forwarding & Clearing Industry through a Just Energy Transition: Skills for a Greener and More Inclusive Economy 

Exhibitions, Networking and Industry Insights 

The event will feature exhibitions and networking sessions designed to facilitate partnerships and knowledge exchange.
