Vanguard Logistics signs ten-year Clairwood lease with Fortress
Logistics and supply chain solutions provider Vanguard Logistics South Africa has signed a a ten-year lease for a new 13 000 m² warehouse at Clairwood Logistics Park, in KwaZulu-Natal, with real estate investment trust Fortress Real Estate Investments.
The company took occupation of the new warehouse on October 1, having relocated from its facility in Prospecton to the larger Clairwood facility as part of its growth strategy, Fortress says.
Clairwood Logistics Park offers state-of-the-art facilities that align with Vanguard’s commitment to providing best-in-class services in the container group market, the company says.
The advanced infrastructure of Clairwood Logistics Park will mitigate past operational challenges, and support Vanguard’s ongoing business needs by enhancing truck flow through the facility with a ring road system that offers double access points for seamless entry and exit, Fortress says.
“Clairwood Logistics Park represents a significant step forward for Vanguard CFS and Ocean Freight products. Moving to a purpose-built facility that addresses our operational requirements ensures we can continue to deliver exceptional service,” says Vanguard South Africa country manager Raymond Cutts.
“The facility’s dedicated features, including hazardous storage and optimised truck access, are what we need to maintain our industry-leading standards,” he notes.
The facility offers a strategic advantage to Vanguard CFS to grow and deliver high-quality services to its clients, adds Vanguard CFS operation MD Zain Mustan.
The Clairwood Logistics Park has 24-hour security with access control, a contemporary design, a dedicated container yard, undercover loading, a warehouse under one roof, and specialised hazardous storage, and is compliant with all necessary industry standards, Fortress says.
“Fortress provides facilities that drive growth and operational efficiency. Clairwood Logistics Park is a modern, secure, and compliant industrial space that caters to the needs of their partners,” says Fortress national leasing manager Grant Lewington.
