WAM South Africa is showcasing its latest high-efficiency screening technologies and smart wastewater treatment solutions at IFAT Africa 2025, reinforcing its commitment to sustainable and efficient environmental management.

Engineering News spoke to WAM South Africa sector manager for wastewater Michael Van Der Merwe and SAVECO corporate sales manager Silvestri Francesco at the exhibition, where the company is highlighting its focus on innovative screening systems designed to improve performance and reduce operational costs in wastewater treatment plants.

WAMGROUP, founded in Italy in 1968, is a global leader in bulk materials handling and processing, with over 2 500 employees, more than 20 production sites, and a presence in more than 60 countries. Its broad product portfolio serves industries ranging from construction and food to chemicals, energy and wastewater.

At IFAT Africa 2025, WAM South Africa also dedicated part of its stand to solid conveying and powder dosing solutions, underscoring the group's diverse capabilities. The company has operated locally since 2010, offering technical sales and support to the South African market.

WAM’s participation in the event is part of a broader strategy to grow the company's footprint in the African wastewater sector through technology-driven, reliable solutions.
