West Nile Delta (WND) gas development – Raven field project.

Location
Off the shore of Egypt, within the North Alexandria and West Mediterranean Deepwater concessions. 

Project Owner/s
British multinational oil and gas company bp, the operator, holds an 82.75% stake in the project, while Harbour Energy owns the remaining 17.25%.

Project Description
The development comprises a series of gas condensate fields. Raven field is the final phase of the WND project.

The initial phase included the development of eight subsea wells, located up to 65 km offshore and at water depths ranging from 550 m to 700 m.

Phase 2 involved the subsea tieback of additional Raven infill wells to its existing onshore infrastructure as part of the WND project. The new wells are expected to produce about 220-billion cubic feet of gas and seven-million barrels of condensate.

Raven field has been in production since early 2021. bp announced the start of production from the second development phase of the Raven field on February 16, 2025. The project was safely executed ahead of schedule, allowing for an accelerated start of production.
