Charlot Mabena
Born on November 24, 1991, in Siyabuswa, Mpumalanga, Charlot has made significant strides in the engineering industry. She is a Mechanical Engineering undergraduate and an MBA candidate at Henley Business School. She is particularly proud of her achievement as the first young African female to hold the position of GM of Operations at EnFloTech, an accomplishment that speaks volumes about her leadership and technical expertise. In her approach to leadership, Charlot embodies a philosophy inspired by Michelle Obama: "I am still in progress, and I hope I will always be." This belief reflects her adaptability and commitment to continuous growth. Rather than adhering to a fixed leadership style, she prides herself on wearing the hat necessary to bring out the best in her team at any given moment. Her versatility enables her to navigate various challenges and opportunities with a dynamic and responsive approach.
Charlot's journey is a testament to the impact that hard work and dedication can have, not only on personal career advancement but also on paving the way for others. She strongly believes that when one achieves success, especially in a field as challenging as engineering, it is crucial to keep the door open for others to follow. Melissa Coetzee
Born on January 13, 1995, in Vereeniging, Gauteng, Coetzee holds a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from North West University. As a Design Engineer at EnFloTech, she excels in performing first-principle design calculations and computational fluid dynamics mod- elling for the company’s cutting-edge technologies. She also oversees the design and drawing department, working closely with her team to effectively meet design and drawing requirements.
Melissa's dynamic management style combines democratic and visionary leadership, empowering her team to make informed decisions, foster collaboration and focus on long-term goals. Her greatest personal achievement is her resilliance in stepping into a leadership role and serving asa role model for her daughters, demonstrating that hard work and dedication lead to success and inspiring them to pursue their dreams and achieve their goals.
Inspired by Kate Gleason's tenacity, dedication, commitment to excellence and collaborative approach, Melissa integrates these qualities into her daily work. Embracing the philosophy of facing challenges and stepping out of one's comfort zone, she believes that true growth occurs when we confront the unknown. By adopting a "never say never" mindset and recognising our boundless potential, we can turn obstacles into opportunities for both personal and professional development.
