WSP in Africa, one of the largest multi-disciplinary engineering consulting firms on the continent, were honoured to receive four (4) Diamond Arrow accolades in the 2019 PMR.africa Business Excellence Awards, as hosted on 3 June.

The purpose of the PMR.africa annual awards is to set a benchmark and enhance excellence in the industry, as well as create a platform from which to acknowledge a team, unit or division within a business who perform exceptionally well in their respective areas of expertise. To maintain the objectivity of the awards, a firm cannot enter themselves but rather must be nominated by the industry and then through a national survey are rated at random and across a range of business attributes – and the results are categorised according to the staff faculty employed by the firm.

WSP continues to be recognised as a market leader in the industry. Based on this year’s survey – conducted between November 2018 and January 2019 – WSP received the following awards as the highest rated firm in the category of 400+ employees:

  • Diamond Arrow Award: Civil Consulting Engineers

  • Diamond Arrow Award: Structural Consulting Engineers

  • Diamond Arrow Award: Electrical Consulting Engineers

  • Diamond Arrow Award: Mechanical Consulting Engineers

“We are grateful for this recognition and the continued support by our clients, partners and peers in the industry. These awards are a testament to our purpose as a firm and just as importantly the expertise and passion of our people that make living our purpose - of contributing to a sustainable and impactful future where societies can thrive - possible,” says Mathieu du Plooy, Managing Director, WSP in Africa.
