The fourth quarter of 2025 was the strong operational quarter yet for Scandinavian gold producer and explorer Akobo Minerals, with revenues of SKr29.8-million ($3.2-million) and earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortisation (Ebitda) of SKr12.9-million ($1.4-million), representing the company’s second consecutive Ebitda-positive quarter.

The company, which owns and operates the Segele mine, in Ethiopia, produced about 21.5 kg of gold at an average grade of 22.2 g/t.

Beyond the fourth quarter, Segele produced about 8 kg of gold in January and 7.5 kg in February, totalling 15.5 kg at an average grade of 25 g/t.

Cash and unsold gold held stood at about $6-million at the end of February.

Civil works for the vertical shaft headgear foundation were completed; temporary winch and headgear installation was completed; and shaft sinking activities restarted.
