Astron Energy, a subsidiary of global commodity trader Glencore.

Project Description
The project will entail the installation of new equipment at Astron’s 100 000 bbl/d refinery to make the facility compliant with South Africa's cleaner fuel specifications before the deadline in 2027. The project includes a gasoline hydrotreating process that will help to decrease the levels of sulphur in petrol and diesel down to 10 parts per million, which is according to Euro 5 specifications.
