Lubrication Engineers (LE) South Africa will bring the latest in lubrication innovation and technology to Electra Mining Africa.

Highlights include Bluetooth-enabled single-point lubricator systems and enhanced product formulations designed for a range of mining and industrial applications.

LE South Africa MD Colin Ford reveals that the company will feature representatives from its US headquarters and Australia, where its Viper Wire Rope Lubricator products are manufactured.

These experts will be available to answer questions and provide live demonstrations, as well as video content of the company’s innovative products.

“We are excited to show people the advancements in our product range – particularly for the mining and cement industries,” Ford says.

“We have got a good mix of new products and improvements to existing products or more in-depth technical detail that’s now available for some of them.”

Among the new products is Easy Bar, a solid bar lubricant designed for use inside the tyre bore of rotary kilns and dryers. “It is ideal for smelters,” says Ford. “It’s like a bar of soap that you throw into a section of the kiln or onto the sinter plates and it melts and lubricates them.”

Ford expects that the Bluetooth single-point lubricators will draw significant interest, owing to their potential to enhance safety and operational efficiency.

“Essentially, the operator does not have to shut down the equipment and manually apply the lubricant. They can stand outside the cage and manage the application from their phone,” he explains.

“This is much safer, but also means less downtime and better productivity.”

LE will also have its asset reliability solutions on display, covering the full lubrication storage and management cycle.

A large portion of the stand will be dedicated to wire rope lubrication, where visitors can find out more about the Viper range, as well as LE’s Wirelife product.

LE South Africa represents the LE brand in South Africa, Botswana, Namibia, Mozambique, Zimbabwe and Zambia. LE hold the rights to Southern Africa on the LE brand, recognised internationally as a specialist in lubrication.

Through LE Incorporated, they are a member of a worldwide network of companies spanning Europe, South America, Asia and Africa, while LE Incorporated operates in the US and covers North America including Canada, Mexico and the US.
